There is an abundance of water ways in the UK from calm lakes to raging rivers. When starting out it is important to pick an appropriate venue for you and your family. Join our sister company New Forest Activities for a taster session on Beaulieu River in the New Forest to pick up the basics.

The British Canoe Union are the governing body of paddlesports, their website contains all the info on local clubs and events.

Tidal streches of water are open access so if you can find a public slip way / area to launch on its free to paddle, Beaulieu river is the only exception to this rule as the estuary is privately owned by the Montagu Family.

• Boat / appropriate to the conditions & venue
• Paddle
• Buoyancy aid
